YATEFIELD MEMBER
The interment took place in the Burnley
Cemetery last Wednesday of Mr. Robert
Brown (44), of 22, Scarlett-street. Born in
Brierfield. Mr. Brown had lived in the
Burnley Lane and Coal Clough-lane districts
practically all his life, and prior to his
illness was employed at Messrs. Ormerod
Whittaker's and the Park Shed mills. He
was an active member of the Yatefield
Working Men's Club, and is survived by a
widow and one daughter. The Rev. F.
Jones, B.Sc., vicar of St. Matthew's Church,
offered prayers at the home prior to the
cortege leaving for the Cemetery. Floral
tributes were sent by; His loving wife; Joyce
and Alan; Tom and Florrie; sister Edith,
John and Romney; and brother and sister-in-law,
Willie and Martha; Florrie and Jim; Ambrose,
Sarah and Margaret: Lizzie, Jenny and
Jack: Mr. and Mrs. Newby and Edna; his
pal Bill; the two Tommies; Alice; committee
and members of Yatefield Conservative Club;
Tom and Florrie; Aunt Jane and all.
