The marriage was solemnized on Tuesday eveing at the residence of Mrs. Alderson, 421 Eleventh avenue east
of Miss Margaret Alderson, formerly of Burnley, Lancashire, England, and Mr. A. Griffin of this city.
The couple were attended by Miss Amy Alderson and Mr. Robt. Hartley, and the ceremony was performed by
Rev. Dr. Sipprell. The house was prettily decorated with flags and other military emblems. The groom is a
member of A Company, 29th Battalion, which is now at Hastings Park, and expects to leave for Europe with
the next contingent.

GRIFFIN -- PASSED AWAY APRIL 25, 1924,
Arthur Griffin, 1043 Eveleigh St., in his 40th year, leaving his beloved wife to mourn his loss.
Mr. Griffin was a member of the R.A.O. Buffaloes and F.O. Eagles and 29th Batt. Club. Military
funeral under the auspices of the 29th Batt. C.E.F., will take place Tuesday morning, April 29,
at 10:30 o'clock, in Nunn & Thomson's chapel, 531 Homer St., Major Rev. C. C. Owen officiating.
Interment in returned soldiers' plot, Mountain View Cemetery

Well-Known Veteran Dies of Injuries
Sergeant Arthur Griffin, veteran who was severely wounded in France while with the 29th
Vancouver battalion, died last night at the Vancouver General hospital from illness due
to war injuries. Comrades of the 29th are arranging for a funeral with full military
honors, Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.  Sgt. Griffin is survived by a wife. At the time of his
death he was manager of the Second Canadian Division club.

Attended by the band and members of the 29th Battalion, C.E.F., the remains of Arthur Griffin,
who died on Friday, were taken to Mountain View cemetery this morning on a gun-carriage of
the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. C. C. Owen in
the Nunn & Thomson chapel, and many friends and relatives of the deceased were in attendance.
